The ground rules for using this site and the Respiratory Care Week materials on it.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to respiratorycareweek.org (the “Site”), operated by Alliance for Health Implementation Science, Inc. (“AHIS,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site or its materials, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

2. About Respiratory Care Week

Respiratory Care Week is hosted by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). AHIS operates this Site independently to help patients, families and organizations thank respiratory therapists during the week. The Site is not operated by AARC, and mentioning AARC does not mean AARC endorses AHIS or this Site. For AARC’s own resources, visit AARC’s Respiratory Care Week page.

3. Not medical advice

The Site is for recognition, awareness and education. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare provider. If you think you or someone else is having a medical emergency, call 911.

4. Using the materials

You may download, share and print the graphics and captions on the Site for non-commercial recognition of respiratory therapists, provided that you:

• do not alter the graphics, except to crop or resize them for posting;
• do not use them to advertise or promote any product or service, or in a way that suggests AHIS or AARC endorses you, your organization or any product; and
• do not use them in any way that is misleading, unlawful or harmful.

5. What you submit

When you send a thank-you note, photo or link, you confirm that you are 18 or older, that it is accurate, and that you have the right to share it, including permission from anyone it names or shows. Please don’t include a patient’s story, personal medical details or other people’s private information. We review every submission and may decline, edit for length and clarity, or remove any note. We will not publish your note without the release you give in the form. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Notice.

6. Acceptable use

Please don’t misuse the Site, for example by attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access, submit spam or unlawful content, or impersonate another person or organization.

7. Links to other websites

The Site links to websites operated by others, including AARC and social media platforms. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices.

8. No warranty

The Site and its materials are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AHIS and its directors, staff, volunteers and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its materials.

10. Changes

We may change the Site, its materials or these Terms at any time. The date at the top shows when these Terms last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
